My Dell laptop video related hardware components are faulty. My Dell N5010 i3 screen has recently developed vertical colored lines on white background. I bought this laptop 2 year back with Windows 7 home basic installed and it was working perfectly fine. Recently in Jan 2013 I upgraded it with Windows 8 Pro through Microsoft online upgrade scheme. It worked fine with Windows 8 as well but this problem has started since last 3 weeks. Initially vertical lines were displayed as soon as I switched on the power and till windows gets loaded. After Windows loading display was getting ok on screen but now vertical lines are always there on monitor screen. I have connected my old CRT monitor with this laptop and display is fine on external monitor. Dell website has no display driver for Windows 8. I do not think it is related to any hardware issue as laptop display was proper during the setup when I reinstalled windows 8. It even worked for 1 day after reinstallation but now again vertical lines are on the screen. Any idea? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
